About Computer Center
The Technion provides to students and staff, advanced computing services, as is appropriate to a leading technological institute. Taub Computer Center provides comprehensive computing services to the Technion community and accompanies the fast technological developments in this domain.
Main areas of activity include: Development and management of the Technion communication network, Support of distributed computing and managing of Unix servers, HPC (Super Computers/Grid), Internet access control, Micro computer networks and Support and Consulting services.
Computers and network operate around the clock all week days. In favor of students, a dedicated unix server is available providing an e-mail account during the student studies at the Technion.
Taub Computer Center manages and supports the computing infrastructure for administrative systems in the campus such as the Student Registration system and Database systems like Oracle.
Among the many activities of the Computer Center one can mention areas like network and information security,visualization systems, backup, ERP servers and the operation of advanced storage services.
